Opening the Door to Me

As my life becomes more my own, I find myself creating much more hopeful images. Here are a few I created during the Summer of 2008.

The comments below are about both the images here, and the text I've deleted (2-21-12) as I continue to write my memoir.

  1. "So many choices, so many things I never thought about before. I feel like the rest of the world had a 50 year head start and I am still standing at the starting line."

I cannot count the times I've felt that way.

  2. I just discovered your blog through another blogger I follow. I found it interesting and I will soon be following the updates.

I love color and texture, so I also like the graphics. I guess you could consider me somewhat of a graphaholic.

Have a great day / Barbara

  3. Thank you, Tricia, for "getting it". It feels good to be heard and understood.

Barbara, welcome. I'm glad you found me :-) I love graphics as well. I have done hundreds of these photoshop drawings. In most, I work from hand drawn images, and then scan them and rework them. I also paint and draw, but the thing that's wonderful about this medium is that I can have a complete picture in my head and really get it on paper exactly the way I see it in my head.

Sounds like you are doing some brilliant inner child work - keep it up! :)

  5. Shen, I am so taken-back with the power of your visual drawings that say so very much! I am right there with you, that time has stopped and everyone is way ahead of the game.

Thank you dear one for sharing!

JustBeReal, I'm glad you "get it". It seems the more people I share my journey with, the more common my story seems.
